As a pharmaceutical intermediate, P-aminophenol can be used in the synthesis of paracetamol (acetaminophen), propanolol (acetaminophen salicylate), propanolol, complex nicotinamide, liuamphenol, antamine, vitamin B1 and other drugs.
P-aminophenol can synthesize p-phenylenediamine rubber antioxidant H, 4010, 4010NA, 4030, 4020, etc.
P-aminophenol has a strong reductive property. In the synthesis of other fine and special chemicals, 4-aminophenol can be used to synthesize 4- (n-methylamine) phenol and its salts, which can be used as a photographic developer, and can inhibit the corrosion of steel by chloride-containing acid solution, and can be used as an intermediate of hair dye. The synthesized 4-aniline phenol can be used as an antioxidant for petroleum and lubricating oil and as an inhibitor of vinyl monomer polymerization.
